Minutes were approved as read with two corrections underlined:
Guests: Deputy Clerk Kim Denny, Gordon & Jane Walkington, Dan Triewieler, Larry & Karen Morrow, and Detective Kasul.
Presentation by Mr. & Mrs. Walkington presented an estimate for a bench w/ stone attached to include the names of people buried in Lett’s cemetery that do not have markers. No action taken at this time.
Treasurer’s report was approved as read.
Special Fire Assessment:
Public hearing called to order for Confirmation of the Special Assessment Roll.
Township Supervisor submitted the Revised Certificate of Township Supervisor.
Resolution Confirming Special Assessment Roll. Clerk signed Special Assessment Roll. Warrant signed by Clerk and Treasurer.
Motion made by P Rust and supported by Wm Vaarberg to accept payment of the township bills as submitted. Motion passed 4 yes, 0 no, and 1 absent.
Motion made by R Alexander and supported by Wm Vaarberg to pass Ordinance #27 Consumers Energy Company Electric Franchise Ordinance. Motion passed 4 yes, 0 no, and 1 absent.
Correction to budget for 2025-2026:
Lett’s Cemetery $3,000.00
Balcom Cemetery $6,500.00
Discussion on streetlights for Northland Dr – Tabled. Survey to be conducted.
Most recent donation from Mr. & Mrs. Walkington to be used for foundations.
Clarified shared agreement with Orange Township for purchase of Class A Pumper.
Motion made by P Rust and supported by Wm Vaarberg to accept payment of the township bills as submitted. Motion passed 4 yes, 0 no, and 1 absent.
