Minutes were approved as read.
Treasurer’s report was approved as read.
Presentation from Detective Chelsea Kasul.
Discussion on assessing software and assessor’s wage.
Treasurer obtained approval to close Trust & Agency Account at Independent Bank and move to M1.
Reviewed Berlin Orange Fire Department Annual Report. The department responded to:
356 emergency calls total
148 fire calls
208 medical calls
Motion made by M Palmer and supported by R Alexander for Resolution to change rate from $4.10/1000 gallons to $5.10/1000 gallons for metered sewer customers. No change for flat rate customers. Motion passed 4 yes, 0 no, 1 absent.
Motion made by M Palmer and supported by W Marcussen to approve culvert on Peck Lake Rd between M66 & Harwood Rd. Motion passed 4 yes, 0 no, 1 absent.
Motion made by M Palmer and supported by W Marcussen to approve brine at $0.19/gallon. Motion passed 4 yes, 0 no, 1 absent.
Motion made by W Marcussen and supported by Wm Vaarberg to pass Resolution to Establish Township Officer’s Salary-wage increase of 8%. Motion passed 4 yes, 0 no, 1 absent. This is the first cost of living/wage increase for board members in 12 years.
Motion made by M Palmer and supported by R Alexander to increase the following position wages as follows:
Election Chairperson $20.00/hr
Election Inspector $18.00/hr
Board of Review: $70/half day & $140/whole day
Deputy Supervisor, Deputy Treasurer, and Deputy Clerk training wage of $20.00/hr. Motion passed 4 yes, 0 no, 1 absent.
Motion made by W Marcussen and supported by Wm Vaarberg to accept payment of the township bills as submitted. Motion passed 4 yes, 0 no, 1 absent.
