Board Meeting called to order by Supervisor R Bennett.
Pledge recited.
Mr & Mrs Walkington inquired about future improvements for Lett’s Cemetery. Berlin Twp Board would like to thank Mr & Mrs Walkington for their donation for Lett’s Cemetery headstone upkeep.
Mr Trierweiler inquired about Berlin-Orange Fire Department billing process for first responder calls. Inquiry will be presented to Berlin-Orange Fire Board on 9/4/2024.
Minutes were approved as read.
Treasurer’s report was approved as read.
Discussion on Sewer Rate Study. Motion made my M Palmer and supported by Wm Vaarberg to approve scenario 2 for a slow & steady rate increase. Motion passed 4 yes, 0 no, and 1 absent.
Discussion on City of Ionia Tap-In Fees-Tabled.
Discussion on prison property and City of Ionia’s question regarding boundary lines-Tabled.
Berlin Twp Board would like to welcome Kim Denny as Deputy Clerk and Penny Rust as Deputy Treasurer.
Public Hearing on Confirmation of Special Assessment Roll called to order by Supervisor R Bennett.
Motion made by M Palmer and supported by R Alexander to pass Resolution Confirming Annual Special Assessment Roll. Motion passed 4 yes, 0 no, and 1 absent.
Special Assessment Roll and Warrant signed.
Motion made by Wm Vaarberg and supported by R Alexander to accept payment of the township bills as submitted. Motion passed 4 yes, 0 no, and 1 absent.
