Special Guest: Detective Chelsea Kasul ICSD, Thomas Walker
Board Meeting called to order by Supervisor R Bennett.
Pledge recited.
Minutes were approved as read.
Treasurer’s report was approved as read.
Presentation given by Chelsea Kasul on law enforcement activity for the previous quarter.
Easement with Consumers Energy signed to approve the placement of polls on property.
Motion made by M Palmer and supported by W Vaarberg to approve the purchase of 4000 yards of gravel at $10.90/ yard. Motion passed 5 yes, 0 no.
All monies collected for Special Fire Assessment in 2021 need to now be moved to Fire Assessment Fund for fiscal year 4-1-2022 to 3-31-23.
Discussed the option of Berlin Township becoming a charter township. Tabled-no action taken.
Motion made by R Alexander and supported by W Vaarberg to purchase a display case to be mounted near the front door of the Berlin-Orange Fire Barn. Motion passed 5 yes, 0 no.
Motion made by M Palmer and supported by W Vaarberg to pay fire personnel Covid bonus. Motion passed 4 yes, 0 no, 1 absent (R Alexander left at 7:40pm to return to election precinct for the close of the polls)
Discussed fire truck replacement.
Motion made by W Vaarberg and supported by W Marcussen to accept payment of the township bills as submitted. Motion passed 4 yes, 0 no, 1 absent.
